Local care
Home care in Birmingham
Home care across the whole of Birmingham, from our Birmingham team.
Where in Birmingham we work
We cover the east and south of the city most heavily — Yardley, Acocks Green, Hall Green, Sheldon, Small Heath, Bordesley Green, Stechford and Sparkhill — and take work across the rest of Birmingham where the rota allows.
If you are not sure whether we reach your street, ring and ask. We would rather tell you no on the phone than take on a round we cannot staff reliably, because a carer who is always late is worse than no carer at all.
Why local matters more than it sounds
Home care is a business of short journeys. A team spread across a county spends its day in traffic and arrives late; a team working a few miles from its office does not. Our office is in Digbeth, and we plan local rounds so carers can reach visits reliably.
It also means our carers know the city. They know which streets flood, where you cannot park on a Tuesday, and how long the wait is at Heartlands.
Working with local services
We work alongside the district nursing teams, GP surgeries and hospital discharge teams across the city, and we know how Birmingham City Council's adult social care assessments work — including what to do when someone has been assessed as needing care but the package has not started yet.
